Friday i drove like a maniac through the streets of Toronto in rush hour to get to his 6:30 show. I arrived at 7:00 pm and thankfully there was another artist finshing up her set. I caught Sam just as he started again with Sea Blue. The Gibson Showroom (a swanky guitar showroom that you can visit by appointment only) was a very intimate setting. I'm not sure if this was a timing thing but the 6:30 all ages show was very intimate, about 25-30 people, some i recognized from the night before. He played Whiskey and apologized because he had a bit of a sore throat. He went on to Passport again and then asked if there were any requests. Someone asked for Pretty Boy which i'm not familiar with. He played most of it but stopped and said he hadn't practiced it in awhile. He also played most of You Think You're Free and even did his own drum beat; he said he really needed a band for that one. He played Like a River once again (a song he said was about gun control). I yelled out for Is Love Enough and he finally played it as well as Soho Whores - he rocked these two. Then the big treat, the new song that he recently wrote with Rob P. He asked for no video on this one and even mock scanned the crowd to make sure we weren't filming. Unfortunately i didn't have my camera with me this time but there were two other girls getting a lot of video and they said they were going to post on Youtube so go check it out! he also announced at the end of the set that there would be a 19+ show at 10:00 pm for free. I wasn't able to stick around though. I wish i had known about it as that show would have been more convenient for me.
Can anyone find this and post it here? I'd love you forever ♥
