The young woman sighed softly, silently sheathing her katana in this cold winters night. Snow began to fall, it's small, white flakes touching her auburn strands gracefully as she smiled, their light beauty entrancing her as she walked along in the forest. Stopping and hiding abruptly as she noticed the figure of a man, covered in the shadows. He moved slowly, gracefully toward where she now stood, his movements so graceful, that he seemed as though he were dancing or even floating to her.
"Any reason you're walking all alone in the depths of this forest." He seemed to almost whisper, "Are you not aware of all the demons lurking about? A beautiful young lady like you would make for a perfect snack." She hesitantly placed her hand upon the hilt of her katana trying to make out a figure as his words rang through her head. He couldn't possibly be demon, his voice is just too tender, so soft...so innocent. He danced out of the shadows into the light of the moon, his hair, as white as the snow flakes that fell upon it shimmered in the light and his light purple eyes shone brilliantly in the dark of the forest. Her hand slipped off the blade as she found herself engulfed in his beauty. He gave her a smile as he drew closer. His jacket, blacker than the new moon, fluttered as a breeze ran through. The young woman shivered and he smiled again, removing his jacket, revealing his scarred arms and torso. He draped it across her shoulders and chuckled as he queried.
"Better? Or will you need this as well?” He pulled off his scarf, the color was an indescribably beautiful pastel purple, the same color as his eyes. He gently chuckled as his playfully wrapped it around her neck with an innocent grin on his face.
The grin quickly dissipated as the leaves in the trees began to rustle and a low growl was heard. He scanned the forest that surrounded them. She noticed something strange happening to him, a mesmerizing heavenly light began to glow around him. His back began to quiver as he seemed to rise off of the ground. Leaves and snow began to swirl around him as he curled up into and almost fetal position. The light grew brighter as he started to regain his composure, then he let forth an agonizing scream, making everything seem to just stop. From his back burst forth an enormous pair of angelic wings that blacked the forest for it blocked out the moon light, the only light that shone was the same light that had covered his body, but now it only engulfed his eyes.
“The staff on your back, throw it to me.” She stood in awe as he spoke to her, “Please, we don’t have time for this.” She snapped out of her trance and grabbed the staff, then quickly tossed it to the beautiful figure. He smiled as he snagged it from mid air. It then began to glow the same heavenly glow that surrounds his eyes. Feathers started to dance around the staff, hiding it from her eyes. He swung it towards the sky and the feathers dispersed, revieling and intricately designed scythe, as white as the feathers on his wings. Ribbions danced from the head and the moon reflected off of the cresent blade.
“Show yourself demon!” It’s a bit hard to sound intimidating with a voice like that, she thought. A small bark was heard as a wolf cub trotted out of the forest.
“Are you joking me!?” He shouted. The cub made it’s way to the young woman. A smile formed as she knelt down and pat the cub on the head.
“Awe, there you are Rifka,” she said as she laughed, “this is Rifka, and I’m Mystic,” she looked down at the ground and her voice lowered as she said, “It’s nice to see you again Enjeru.”
Dun DUn DUN!
