Day 19 - A song from your favourite album
This is hard. I am one of those awful people who tends to listen to compilations and best ofs more than actual albums, but at the same time I do have several favourite albums...
Also, I am trying to avoid having heaps of songs by the same artist during this meme, and I have already posted songs from a few of my favourite albums. (U2's All That You Can't Leave Behind, Florence & the Machine's Lungs, P!nk's I'm Not Dead for example.)
So, here is a list of more albums that I like a lot:
Hot Fuss - The Killers
Achtung Baby - U2
The Hazards of Love - The Decemberists
All of my favourite albums have some sort of sentimental value. For example, All That You Can't Leave Behind cheered me up when I was a moody teenager. I bought I'm Not Dead after being converted at the concert (Mikayla has a lot to answer for...) I bought Lungs not long after I got my car, and then listened to it on repeat for several weeks - so apart from all the songs being beautiful, I associate it with that 'hooray, I finally have a car!' feeling :P It is an album of freedom and endless possibility, whatever the songs themselves might say.
As for a video, I am going to leave you with We Should Be Together Now, a song from Powderfinger's Odyssey Number Five. Danica lent me this album in year 11, I think before we knew each other very well. I'm pretty sure it was aaaaaaages before I gave it back >.>
