Day 15 - A song that describes you
The song is pretty lame, but I think it embodies my goals at least, even if I'm not totally there yet:
Basically, I work hard and (as much as I rely on James for a lot of things) I don't like having to rely on other people. I don't like borrowing money (I saved for a really long time instead of getting a loan for my car), I always insist on paying for my share when I go out (whether its splitting the cost or paying for something else) and I'm pretty happy that James doesn't expect me to be the person who stays home if we have kids :P
Obviously a partnership is not two completely independent people doing some of the same stuff, the idea is to help each other out and be co-dependent on each other for the different things each person brings to the relationship, but I don't ever intend our roles in our partnership to reflect traditional gender expectations and James doesn't either.
