memorial day

Today was really great. Got to Joe's aunt's house a little before 1 pm. Said hello to everyone and then parked myself in the sun for the majority of the day. Moved around to different parts of the backyard to make sure I said "hi" and interacted with everyone but I pretty much only went inside to pee and then to get sunscreen after his sister (a nurse) yelled at me a bunch of times. Glad she did, 'cause she saved me from what would definitely have been a wicked bad sunburn. In other news, though, I actually have a tan/tan lines! I've pretty much closed myself off from, well, everything, during school, so it was nice to be able to get outside and have fun and not have to worry about a goddamn thing.

Ate a TON of food. Cheeseburger, 2 hot dogs, cookies, potato salad, regular salad, brownies, etc. There was even a graduation cake for me and some of the other cousins! Glad I didn't make anything/didn't bring what I did make because there was sooo much stuff. Then again, there always is.

Hung out with the adults and played with the kids in their awesome kiddie pool. They have a regular pool too so before we left I was debating whether or not to bring a bathing suit. Glad I didn't cause the water was still wicked cold; I think they only opened the pool a couple of days ago, if that.

We got home about 6:30 pm. I took a shower pretty much as soon as we got home (sunscreen always makes my skin feel icky) so now we're just hanging out watching a movie "manathon" (haha get it? lol that's what they're calling it!) on USA. We both have the day off tomorrow so we're hoping to do something fun. I wanted to go for a hike or something but when I checked the weather this morning it said it was gonna be thunderstormy. Thinking maybe a movie and/or mini-golf, something fun and summery.
