Update on the Car situation.
The car has been assigned to a Major Loss team. The nice adjuster called a while ago to tell me that I get a rental car for 3 weeks -- they wait three weeks to see if the car will turn up.
Then they will make me an offer to buy it from me. I've been looking at what the prices are for this car, and they're pretty decent. All I'd have to do is find something in the range of what they'd give me, since I am so broke I can't really add anything on to the check they'll issue. All possible, tho. ;-)
