What a week!

So, I'm amused at the new Dish DVR comercial that has someone who sounds almost like Pres. Bush saying, "Are you saying I could recordify or recordificate all my favorite cartoons, since I miss most of them due to my job?" He's wearing a navy suit with a red tie...

It's been quite a week! We had all-day meetings three days, and then I spent most of Friday in meetings and writing documents to work up time-lines and explain some processes I'm proposing. I took a couple of phone meetings from home, and then went in to the office about 1pm. I ended up working on a slide presentation (called a "deck" in Intuit-speak) until about 11. I scurried home to get the second play of the new SG: Atlantis episode.

I know it took forever to build a 4-page presentation (with one the title page), but I tend to fiddle with the build/presentation timing until I get it perfect. It's obsessive, I know, but I want the flow and the visual to be just perfect.

I ought to be doing dishes and vacuuming and such, but I've been paying bills (catching up on the ones that come in paper and I need to reconcile with the automated amount I send every month based on the average charge). My electric balanced payment has gone up more than $120 based on the boys living in the house over the summer. Well, it will be re-adjusted in November, and Jen and Bryan have been less expensive. My bills here have been consistently less than $25 per month, since I'm cheap about electricity seeing as I have electric heat. I have done 5 loads of laundry in the last 24 hours... need to get caught up since I've done almost none while I was ill.

And, a most pleasant surprise! Somehow I managed to get ahead on my car payments (probably paid twice in one month somehow) and am now so far ahead that I'll pay it off 5 months earlier than expected, maybe even earlier since they've recalculated my payment to be half what it used to be, and I'm still budgeting for the original payment. That's lovely!

Since the whole family has been congregating on Facebook (and I've been rapidly getting hooked on their Live Scrabble), I was most amused to walk out of our team craft event (6 women now -- we made very neat bracelets) -- and looked up to see that I was in the foyer of the Facebook office.
