I'm awake...

And have been awake, sort of, all night long. Moving in and out of sleep. Listening to the rain and wind.

But I had nasty anxiety dreams all night long. The first set were medieval themed -- a revolution/coup/something, and I was the wife of he who was being overthrown (or perhaps someway else connected, you know how dreams are), and was struggling through woods and palaces and rooms with arras and ledges and so on, and being concerned about getting a bunch of thistle tubes cleaned of the acid that we had been using to defend ourselves.... (Why, tell me, are there ten or twelve different configurations of thistle tubes?)

This merged or transitioned to a modern-day or post-modern environment where the cars were automated or ran with computerized control, and if you disobeyed a driving rule it shocked you. We were trying to re-program the smartest car in order to get out from under the oppressive regime.

And, like most of these dreams cycles, there were good and bad mixed -- some very attractive men and excellent rewards for accomplishing our goals, but that horrible nasty experience of waking and tossing and not knowing if you are really awake or not.....

I hope this isn't what menopause is all about.... :-(

dreams, weather
