Cindy is slowly waking from her coma -- the sedation was removed almost a week ago, and a couple of days ago infrequent restless motions were observed -- fingers and toes moving, yawns, her eyes open once in a while. It appears that the slowness is due to the liver being unable to wash out the sedation and toxins quickly.
Her kidneys are in excellent shape, apparently, so no dialysis is needed.
Her fever is down slightly. Doctors suspect (but can't prove) that the infection may be coming under control.
Doug and others are reading to her an hour or so a day. British ICU rules are such that there are only 2 hours a day of visiting time, and now 6 adults who would like some time with her, and they all want to give Doug (husband) as much time as possible.
Having the children there is apparently helping the adults a great deal. the children are NOT going in the hospital, for obvious reasons.
I need to find a way to record my voice and translate it into a Mp3 file. They can then play it for her. Can anyone help?
I'm not sleeping regularly, or well, but I am sleeping.
