At last night's Winter Concert for Ponderosa, the Chorale sang a song called (I think) "Prayer before Sleeping." The introduction said that it was from the Torah, "a sacred Hebrew Text written in Babylon between the 3rd and 8th C."
Is that a reasonable description?
(The song was lovely, even tho it was the only song they sang so softly that I couldn't hear any of the words -- they did most of it in Hebrew, and I'd catch a word here and there, but the piece itself, including the hand bells they used, was delightful.)
