Dependant on petroleum
The commentators I was listening to after the SOTUA were making a big deal about Bush's comment about being addicted to gas. Hmm. It seemed so familiar to me, as a phrase. Then I watched Chain Reaction later that evening. In that movie, 3 different characters (including Morgan Freeman) say that "the world/our country is dependent on petroleum" and once it was even said with "and going cold turkey would shut down the entire economy."
Maybe that's where I heard it before.
