Amaryllis
One of the Christmas/New Years presents this year was amaryllis seeds with two pots. Since I'm not really big on gardening, in fact I've never really planted or grew any flowers, I was not too kin on starting up on gardening now.
Yet, I refused to give them away to a neighbor per mom/dad's suggestions....so....I've been watering and staring at the pots ever since Christmas....and to my great daily shock, the flower has been growing with EXTREME speed. It's like a fast food version of gardening. Plant today, get a flower tomorrow!!! Like, one day, it's this tiny little green thing, and next day, it's this giant green creature, almost a foot tall....
So, today, this amazing creature, totally beautified my house and made my Sunday brighter than ever. Since it's been sitting on my window, I haven't really checked it out for 2 days...I looked today, and lo and behold -- one of most beautiful red flowers has grown out of the green plant. I could not believe that within only a few days, I've managed to create such beauty out of plain seeds....Me, who's never planted anything....
Now, I just hope that I don't somehow ruin this flower. That would be a total bummer...
