In November of 2042, Martel and Candice Monaghan had their first child; Damita Lefevre Monaghan, born in a birthing center in Savannah and shortly after taken home to Valdis, Arum. Raised between their two homes, Damita's first word was 'don't', mimicking Ewar, and she developed a uniquely peculiar accent: what happens when you cross Georgia with the next best thing to Scotland, and throw in a Spanish edge for luck.

Inheriting her mother's brand of psychic and her father's brand of 'patient desire to punch you', Damita's affinity for the restless dead was bound (by Candice) well into her adolescence and at twenty-three she's still learning to handle it. Her education growing up was tutored in home, and covered (as well as the obligatory necessities) the politics and history of three different worlds, combat training and Styric sorcery. With that as well as meeting the requirements of a 21st century education, the heavy courseload had the additional bonus of keeping her largely out of trouble.
At twenty-three, she's still got the privilege of weighing her options for adulthood from the safety net of her family; there's no reason to move out of home when she spends more time in the Savannah house than her parents do, and Valdis is a fucking castle. It's becoming a question of where she wants to base her life, and whether or not she's going to admit to her parents that she's been "getting in touch with her roots" ("visiting to Eosia on the sly") before somebody busts her for it. She's a child of three worlds, and it makes everything from religion to her studies (junior undergraduate anthropology major at Berkeley) a little more complex.
