In all seriousness, that's some nasty stuff. I hope you find a solution to the recurring infections. That particular doc is definitely not very helpful. It is definitely something that seems to be increasing in frequency and reporting. I have a good friend who has been dealing with cellulitis and a MRSA infection, as have a couple coworkers. As for the maggot therapy, I read about it a few times as well as watched a couple programs detailing how it was used in gangrene and necrotizing fasciitis cases and the incredible effectiveness of it. The treatment site was in better shape, the damaged tissue more effectively removed than what typical surgery would have done. Fascinating how a decidedly unconventional treatment had such good results. I'd serve orzo and spaetzle. ;)
Here's hoping 2013 rocks for ya.
