When Worlds Collide
I'm turning into the "Local Peer" here at my mundane job. It's a little weird. I can recognize the new autocrat type, the worker bee types, the Pel-wannabee types, etc., etc. I may have startled some of my co-workers who are used to seeing me in a very quiet and almost subservient mein, when I suddenly turned into AUTOCRAT WOMAN and kind of, well, took over the project.
Luckily, the new boss keeps -encouraging- such behavior, instead of being intimidated by it like the old boss.
I am extremely tired today and will only be working until 2 PM. I seriously overestimated the amount of energy I have regained since the radiation treatments. The sunburn effect is almost all healed, which is good - less oozy. ;-)
In completely other news, everyone in my office building is now reading Fifty Shades of Grey, which is cause for quite a bit of giggling over the water cooler. There aren't that many men working here, which is a plus in this instance.
I am going to a Dark Shadows gathering at the end of June with Sedalia. Squee!!
It will be a quiet weekend, as we are both very tired and have no set plans other than maybe doing dishes and napping.
