Pete was laying on his back staring at the ceiling. His clock read 1 AM and a glow from the street lamp shined through the window. He wanted to be kissing Patrick at that moment but he was asleep in his room by now.
Pete sighed and rolled onto his side. He had been trying to sleep for the past three days but nothing was working. Then he herd his door open.
“Pete are you awake?” Said a voice.
“Patrick?” he asked leaning over to turn his lamp on.
“Yeah, I couldn’t sleep.”
Pete moved over on his bed and patted the spot next to him.
“Thanks,” Patrick said taking a set.
“So what was keeping you up?” Pete asked sitting up in bed.
“Just thinking …about you. Why are you up?”
“I haven’t been able to sleep for the past couple of days.”
“Oh you poor thing. No wonder you’ve been off in another world.”
Patrick started to stroke Pete’s arm.
“Can I keep you?” Patrick whispered onto Pete’s ear.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Pete replied.
Patrick traced Pete’s jaw with his inducts finger and let it rest under his chin.
“I love you,” Pete said softly.
“I know,” Patrick smiled and kissed Pete softly.
