McHENRY COUNTY CITZENS FOR CHOICE--Join Them in Aurora to Fight for Planned Parenthood Clinic
McHENRY COUNTY CITIZENS FOR CHOICE (MCCC) is working together with PLANNED PARENTHOOD, ILLINOIS NOW and other pro-choice supporters to show support for the new Planned Parenthood full service women's health clinic in AURORA.
The clinic, at 3051 New York Street, is scheduled to open on September 18, but Aurora aldermen and MAYOR TOM WISNER are now saying the clinic might have to wait until an independent review of their approval process for occupancy permits is completed.
This is a direct result of the JOE SCHEIDLER’S notorious PRO-LIFE ACTION LEAGUE trying to make Aurora the center of the "war against abortion" in the US. National groups like OPERATION RESCUE have shown up and positioned this opening as a national priority "battle" against contraception and abortion.
McHenry County citizens will be positively impacted by a Planned Parenthood clinic within easy access without traveling to Chicago. There will be more information coming in the next few days on other things we can do to help
The most immediate thing we can do is to attend the Aurora City Council Meeting to show support:

MCCC organizing a "share the ride" caravan. Contact them at them and let them know you want to participate. They will meet at the WALMART parking lot on RANDAL ROAD at 4:00 Tuesday. Signs will be provided.
I have to work Tuesday night, but my heart will be with these folks. And stand by for further information on what promises to be a prolonged struggle in a national spot light.
