The Coveted Heretic, Rebel, Thing to Flout Endorsements in Il. Dem Primary
O.K. I know no one is going to rush out TV spots breathlessly touting them, call me to their sides at press conferences, or mention them in robo calls. Some candidates, in fact, might rather not be associated with a wild and disreputable blog like this at all. But for those who give a rat’s ass what I think, I will offer my personal endorsements in the February 2 Illinois Democratic Primary, which do not imply the endorsement of the Democratic Party of McHenry County or any other organization with which I am affiliated.
First, an explanation of my thought process, such as it is. Given the stark challenges facing our nation, state, and party this year I based my endorsements on three principles:
· Honesty, integrity and the capacity to the job.
· A progressive voice who can clearly articulate a vision.
· Electability in November.
