The new issue of the Seattle Weekly came out today. Every employee that walked up to the front desk (where I am working) who picked up an issue and read the cover text out loud has misread it. They then correct themselves.
The weather is still cold, but the drive out to seattle wasn't that bad. No new snow means not a lot of change in the quality of the roads from last night.
Paper shredders are a lot of fun to use. Especially when they are noisy.
It feels like the Weekly's column Ask an Uptight Seattleite wants to be funny and clever like WM.™ Steven Humphrey's I Love Television column. It's not quite at the same level, but it's amusing nonetheless1.
I'm getting off work at 12:30 today. I have class tonight at 6, but I'm wide open the rest of the day. What to do, what to do...
Update: Looks like BCC cancelled classes for tonight. I just got an email from them saying so, even though the website isn't updated yet.
I really love that new single from the Shins. I haven't really listened to the whole new album yet, but if it's as good as the song Phantom Limb, or as good as their other two albums, then it will be great.
1. According to dictionary.com, the definition of nonetheless is nevertheless and the definition of nevertheless is nonetheless. The terms themselves seem very odd, what with there being no spaces where there should be spaces. English is such a oddball language.
