Last weekend, I spent many hours remodeling the room that I am staying in at my parent's house.
Before, it was Tim's bedroom. I was just staying in it. Now, it's more of a guest bedroom. The twin beds that were in here have been dismantled and put in storage and this nicer, bigger bed has replaced it. All the artwork, posters and newspaper clippings that were covering the walls before have been removed and my mom put up two ugly religious pictures in their stead. The bookshelf was cleared of all the clutter and now contains a couple of my books (
Harry Potter,
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell,
Valis,
1984) and some strange religious books that my mom put in here (
Charlton Heston presents The Bible,
The inspirational writings of C.S. Lewis,
The Sermons of John G. Lake). I find the juxtaposition of literature on this bookshelf amusing.
The reason for this is because my mom is having some house guests come and visit for the next week or so. I am going to be staying at my sister's house until this room is free again.
