I told y'all kids - that's for the company.

It's been quite some time since I've entered anything onto this livejournal fellow here.  I suppose it's time that I put something up, even if it's just a bland list of things I've been doing.  If that description of the forthcoming entry doesn't sound interesting to you, you may as well stop reading.  But if that sounds like the next great American novel, go ahead and cast the eyes of TJ Eckelburg upon the following few paragraphs.

I've been hanging around the suburbs of Philadelphia for the past few months.  Living and working in Alaska was quite the racket; I was able to save up quite a bit of money (as there is surprisingly little upon which one can spend money in Nome, AK), and I've taken this time to go on a number of vacations.  I've visited Corey, Allison, Craig, Kate, Michelle, Steve, Ashley, some strangers, and probably a few people that I've forgotten to list.  I've also used the time to consider what I want to do next in my life.  The bad news is that I still have no idea.  The good news is that....uh...I've had a fun four month vacation?  That certainly sounds better than "unemployed."

Technically, though, I haven't been unemployed.  Though work has been sporadic, I've been a film production assistant.  That's right: I'm in the "biz."  Most of the work has been thankless and unexciting, but it's extremely well-paying, and I do have some humorous stories about the one film I worked on with Christopher Walken.  Apparently, he's an asshole.  Ask me about it sometime.

Other than that, I've been searching for down-to-earth jobs.  Most of the work I've been considering has been in the world of radio, but that line of job-hunting has proven unsuccessful, so I'm now considering almost any sort of work.  The question now is where should I look for work?  I know that I've asked this before of the livejournal community, and I haven't ignored your answers.  I'm just still as confused and indecisive as ever. At this point, I'm still considering Pittsburgh or Philadelphia.  Philadelphia is filled with a lot of bitter, shitty people that are too hip for their own good.  But I have a handful of music projects that are keeping me in town, and a handful of good friends and my family.  Pittsburgh is, of course, the coolest fucking place on the planet, but despite my best efforts, I can't seem to find a job there.   I just applied to a position at QED that would be the fucking shit, so let's see if I can get that.

Speaking of Pittsburgh, I'm playing a show there with my friend Darcy on December 29th.  We're going to perform Bossa Nova covers at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern.  Let's all come out and watch us play, yeah?

What else?  What else?  What else?  Um...nothing, I suppose.  How are all of you?  Oh!  That's what else!  I responded to
mrpink's livejournal meme, and one of the of the conditions was a repost, so here goes.
