I think the haircut went okay. I left a five dollar tip. I pretty much had too, whether I was planning on it or not: I was her last appointment and I ended up being late because I got lost (she's way out on the edge of town, farther than I go unless I plan on leaving Nome) and she was kind enough to wait for me, honor the appointment, and still be pleasant throughout the whole thing.
But it was still a good appointment. It always takes me a while to warm up to new haircuts, so I'm not really crazy about it, but I think the haircutting experience itself was one of the best I've had. She was very vocal about what she wanted to do, and checked in all along the way to see if I was happy, or if things were going well, or whatever else. So, tip earned.
