That's right, we got back from Cross-Country Camp not to long ago... and are very happy aboot it. The whole time I wanted to come back home (not often wished for). It was cold, wet, and just miserable. I accidentally under-packed which as I discovered not to long after... that it would be better to over-pack instead of under-pack. Everything we wore was soaked from the non-stopping rain and even if we didn't, it still smelt like rain and dirt from the bag or room. Our room had no heat and was pretty much the same temperature as the outside area which sucked butt. We had to wake up at 5:50 both mornings so that we could get ready to go run at 6 up hills in the rain :-( The ground (as you could easily imagine) was full of puddles and mud... and we stretched right next to like some sewer thing they were building so it stunk most of the time. Didn't get very much sleep. We ate in a cafeteria type room and ate cafeteria type food... definitely not anything compared to Young Life Camp :-) From the running, most were sore as well. I took a (cold) shower in the morning (the first morning) and my hair never dried until the next morning, of course it got wet again cause of the next morning run... But, why complain ;-)
