~Baby Day~
Hi all,
Well, lately I just haven't been to happy but oh well. I just wanted to update my journal tonight because at 9:06 am my niece came into the world. I was in bed and got the call at 5:30am to get up to the hospital she was going to be born lol so I went and waited and waited and finally got to hear her first cries as she came into the world.
I went back to the hospital tonight and got to hold her and I am in love. She is beautiful. She has dark eyes, and a TON of dark, soft hair. She has a single curl on the top of her head lol, but he has sooo much hair. She is a very alert baby. She is 20 inches long and 8lbs 1 oz, but she really doesn't look that big at all. As I was holding her, her eyes were looking all over the room and she was looking at my face and necklace and when I said her name she looked right at me. When my dad took his turn holding her I had my hand near her, and she reached out and took ahold of my hand and held it really tight, she has a strong grip. Then when I moved my hand away she was reaching for it so I put it back and she held it again and then shut her eyes and yawned lol.
I am just thankful that everything went okay, and that her and Angie are both healthy. Angie was induced last night so things did go more quickly than for most ladies. I know I might have told some of you long ago almost a year ago that Angie's brother passed away unexpectantly...well months back before Angie knew if the baby was a boy or girl she told me she wanted to name it after her brother who was Scottie Joe.
I suggested maybe using Jo, Joelle or Jolee/Jolie in honor of her brother for a girl, and I guess she either remember our convo or thought of the name herself, not sure. But today after the baby was born she told us the name. It had been Tatem Dawn for the last months that we knew what the sex was, but when she announced the baby's name :) The baby is Tatem Dawn Joelle (last name here).
Well, I am going to go for now. I can't wait to tell you all more about the baby, and I wanna hear some comments people.
