After a quick shower and picking up his gifts for Riku, Sora made his way to sunset hill. He read over the note a few times hoping it would give some sort of clue to what Riku had planned, but of course it didn't. Not even a hint, that was just like him to drive Sora nuts 'til the very end. Though his ability to drive him so crazy was partly why he loved him so much.
His eyes snapped out of the little daze they had slipped into when the train pull into his stop, adjusting the bag over his shoulder and trying to shove the gift that was sticking out further in as he descended the stairs.when the gift that stuck out of the side started to slip it off his shoulder. Hope this was the right one... Wish I could tell if was too heavy or not. He fidgeted a bit nervously.
"Riku!" The boy called out excitedly when he finally found the spot by spotting the familiar brightly colored hair...and asking a few dozen people in the area. Running over to him, Sora hugged his Valentine's waist and placed a kiss on his boy's neck. "You weren't waiting long were you?" He asked looking up to Riku's face with a fond smile.
Upon hearing the familiar voice call his name, Riku quickly but subtly shoved the necklace back into his pocket before flashing a grin at Sora. "Not really," he answered.
He took one of Sora's hands, then turned around so he was facing him. A laugh slipped past his lips when he saw the excited look on Sora's face. "You haven't been driving yourself crazy trying to figure out what I'm doing for you, have you?" he inquired, his grin transforming into a sly smirk.
"You know I have been you smug show off." Sora said, resting his lower back against the railing around sunset hill and brushes his thumb over the back of Riku's knuckles.
"Now you told me to wait until today and today is... TODAY!" Sora made a soft whine in his throat and tugged Riku's hands pulling him closer. "Now, spill it you tease." The impatient boy demanded playfully.
"Hm, I don't know... you're being awfully pushy," Riku teased.
He loved that Sora was so excited over him having something for him, and dragging it on just a little longer appealed to his amusement. Even if it risked him having to face the "ever-dreaded" big puppy-dog eyes and/or the pouty lip.
"Riku!" Sora growled a bit, when Riku started purposely teasing him. "You're so cruel." He started, changing his tactics a little and giving Riku a pleading little look. "Tell me..." He says in a soft and needing voice topping it off with a small pout. He had been trying so hard for so long to stop himself for doing this anymore but now that he knew it had the best affect on Riku he wasn't about to give up the talent now. Of course if this didn't work he'd threaten to hold his boyfriend's present for ransom and if all else failed, he'd noogie his head and pinch him until he snapped and with his strength Sora could give a hard noogie or a painful pinch.
As expected, the attack of adorable faces and tone came at his teasing and Riku couldn't help but laugh, holding his hands up in a defensive style. "Alright, alright," he agreed before sticking his hand into his pocket and pulling out the crown necklace.
Holding it up so Sora could see it, he added, "But this is only half of the surprise."
Sora was about to do more cute and slightly annoying pleading, but took note of Riku's defensive hands. Thought so. You softy. The brunette smirked a bit, the pout turning into a sly little look as it finally clicked firmly in his head that this was Riku's weakness.
But the little victory didn't last long as his eyes were distracted by something glinting and shinning. "What's...this..." He hold his hand out, lightly cupping the crown in his palm. "Always..." The smaller boy smiled softly. "That's... so you." He grinned up at the boy looking excited and happy as he brushed his thumb over the engraving.
Riku smiled, letting the chain slip from his fingers and into Sora's hand. "You like it?" he asked, his hand resting on his shoulder. He was glad that Sora seemed to be so happy about this.
"Yes." Sora said cheerfully already putting it on. He had stopped wearing his other one since it had gotten old and tarnished over the years. Sora was upset when it was first scratched, since it used to belong to his father and was one of the only things of his father's that he owned. So too keep anymore damge from happening to it he kept it in a little wooden box along with other things he wanted to keep safe.
"It'll be easier to keep this one safe since we don't spar anymore." Sora smiled softly as he fiddled with the chain.
Looking pleased, Riku stepped over to the railing and glanced up at the sky a moment. Although he'd been training his powers ever since he got here, he found himself feeling a little nervous, but he knew most, if not all, of that was due to the fact that a real person -- Sora -- was involved. Still, he wouldn't be doing this if he didn't trust his own powers. He glanced over at Sora again and gestured at his backpack, "Now... for the other half of my surprise-- you might want to take that off."
Sora fixed his necklace and watched Riku walking to the railing, his eyes fell onto the boy's back, looking over the strong looking arms and the long hair falling down Riku's back. It had grown a lot over the years, Riku himself had grown a lot... mostly in the last month the boy just seemed happier.
That thought made Sora smile, he knew part of that was because of him. The smaller boy knew Riku was trying hard to make this work and he was doing very well at it. Sora defiantly wanted to make this day great for him. "Huh...?" A soft pink tint graces his features when Riku caught him staring. "But I've not given you, you're gift yet..." The curious looking teen does as he's told anyway and makes his way over to Riku's side.
Smirking lightly at Sora's brief embarrassment, Riku tilted his head some and lifted his brows before stepping up onto the railing. He turned to glance at Sora again. "It can wait," he told him, then held a hand out to him.
"Riku!" Sora said when Riku suddenly started to balance himself on the railing. "What are you doing you show off?" He did take Riku's hand as soon as it was offer just so he could keep the boy from falling off the railing. "you sure you can't show me this on the ground and not from on top of a thin railing that's blocking the way from a fall onto some train tracks?" He says looking up worriedly at his now strange acting boyfriend. He didn't really think Riku would go up there just to upset him, at least not on this day he didn't think Riku would do that, it must be something important. "What is it...?" He slips his other hand around Riku's forearm after he slipped the bag off his shoulder.
"Remember how you told me you thought it would be cool to fly?" he asked, more rhetorically than anything, and in a few seconds Sora would feel his feet start to lift up from the ground. Riku pulled Sora over to him carefully on the railing, slipping his free arm around his waist to make his boyfriend feel safe.
"Yeah I remem- ..." Sora let out a surprised little sound when he felt his feet lift off the ground and the familiar hold of Riku's powers on his body. "H-huh...you?" He looks down in confusion until he heard Riku's next sentance. "Course I do... Aladdin." He laughed softly at the familiar line. He briefly wondered if Riku had done it on purpose since it was one of Sora's favorite movies as a kid.
