I went back and read this. So nice. SO SO nice. I miss her. And your Ilana is very good. Nice characterization. I like how Jacob is so apprehensive here. We've never gotten to see him in context with a woman or anything like that, so it's nice here. I think that, had we not found out later he was more of a father figure, they would have made an interesting dynamic. I sort of wish that that's how it had ended up, but LOST sucks at doing things I want it to do. :/

Before season 6, I was so intent on these two being OTP. I love exploring Jacob in awkward situations. He's so in control of his emotions most of the time, and when he actually cares and has the opportunity to open up to someone, he has know idea how to react.
