...has been great! In actuality, I really haven't done THAT much, but it's been so nice just to be home. I've finished ALL my Christmas shopping, which is shocking. Everything is wrapped and ready to go. Yesss!
This past Saturday I visited my mom for the day. She brought me to get my haircut- yay! We also did some shopping and rummaged through the storage unit so I could get my Christmas tree ornaments to continue decorating mine and Ben's lovely tree. It's amusing because we have virtually no floorspace in our apartment, so we had to put our six foot tree on our table, which actually looks awesome, and there is still a good four feet between the top of the tree and the ceiling!
On Sunday Ben and I finally had the time to go out and do our photo shoot for our picture we are giving to our parents and grandparents for Christmas. We went to the little park downtown and took some beautiful pictures with Ben's amazing camera, which we then took back home, put on the computer and chose one to use. Ben used his spiffy computer program to make the photo black and white and then we put it on a disk, took it to Wal-Mart, and got our pictures developed. They turned out absolutely fantastic, and I think our families will enjoy them.
Tomorrow my dad and brother are coming over to do our Christmas together. Dad's going to see our apartment for the first time so I have to make sure I get it all spruced up. All I really have to do is vacuum and wipe down the counters and sinks. So we'll open presents here, then all go out to Pappagallo's for dinner together. It should be fun.
After tomorrow night, everything goes nuts with our holiday plans. Friday Ben and I are off to Maine for the day to go to my student's Christmas party. Saturday we're headed to Ben's grandparents, who are here in town, for Christmas with his mom's side of the family. After that we drive north to my mom's for a Christmas Eve feast, and overnight for Christmas morning. Then we have to go to Bennington to see Ben's mom, brother, and sister, and then we're back to Marlborough for dinner and Christmas with Ben's dad, Debbie, and family. Finally, we wrap everything up with a trip to Dover on Monday for Christmas with Ben's dad's parents and that side of the family. BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!! Probably won't do any entries until after all that chaos, so I will end this by saying...
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
