Take the car back to the mechanic so they can correct the problem, if it is a by-product of the repair. If not, check the PCV valve--that gave me the stalls when I had that vintage of Altima (it's like $15).
the people who did the original work didnt even put the screws back into the distributor cap... and charge a mile. My sister's pal has his own shop and did a bunch of stuff to my car today and he got it to work... but after 10 minutes of leaving... same problem.
ill ask about the pcv valve and something having to do with the idle control whatever he mentioned to me earlier. PCV valve is a bitch to change, i have heard.
My bad--I was actually thinking of the EGR valve, not PCV. Damned acronyms. It has to be a malfunctioning valve of some sort since it starts up again after stalling, presumably. Or an electrical fault of some sort, though that is less likely. But I'm no mechanic, either; just owned alot of shit cars.
