Dear Andre
Where does the time go, My Angel? You turned 15 months on Wednesday, and I wanted to write you a little note and let you know what you accomplished during month 14. It was a busy one!
You're still the best behaved, sweetest, funniest kid of all time. You started playing hide and go seek - you hide between the front door and the end of the brown couch, and, unlike most kids, you don't immediately pop out when I said, "Where's Andre?" You show yourself at differently moments each time which shows you already have a grasp of comic timing.
Month 14 was also the month of the lid, the drawer, and the door. You liked closing doors at 13 months, sure, but you have moved on, let me tell you. You go into the downstairs bathroom with me and open the cabinet. You then grab bars of soap and Stephane's after shave, put them on the floor, and close the door. Then it's open the cabinet again and put things back. You love getting into boxes and my drawers at work, which is nice since I can't possibly child proof. Oh well.
You're officially running as of yesterday, I'd say, and a few weeks ago, you climbed a box! You sit in your rocking chair like a big big boy and do the "Indian" noise Memama taught you. But the best thing this month? You're a little more clingy. When I take you in my arms to put you down for your nap, you wrap your left arm around my right shoulder and put your head in the crook of my neck. It's the best feeling I've ever had. Of course, yesterday, I said, "Bisou" and puckered up, and you did too! Sweetest kiss I've ever received.
Now comes the part in which other people are most interested. You're talking! I've read that boys usually can say 5 words by 13 months, but if you throw another language in the mix, it's closer to 18. Well YOU, my darling Boo Boo, are officially bilingual and talking! You were saying "This" and "That" all month, but last week, you started in with French. Thursday, September 6, you said "ca" {sssa - this or that}! Then Saturday the 8th you added "lait" {lay - milk} and "encore" (again, more)! The craziest thing about it mentally is that you only use ca and lait with Daddy, never with me, and you never say this or that to Daddy. You already understand, Sweetness, and you're so young. If you already get such a complicated pattern now, I can't wait to see what you'll understand next!

Daddy and Mommy were both off work (you loved having us together since you're usually with just one of us at a time) for two weeks, and we finally took you to have one year pictures taken. You were a total maniac, escaping every chance you got, throwing props, trying to pull down the backdrop (and almost succeeding even though it was bolted to the ceiling!). Daddy and I thought there was no way there was going to be a good picture. Turns out there were 9!
Yep, you're pretty cute! I need to get some work done (you're home with Daddy today), but know that I love you very very much, My Baby. You make me so happy.
