Those of you who helped me the other night... Thank you. Coming to the aid of a complete stranger is a lot, especially in a place as foreign as this one.
Um, I suppose I should try and briefly explain the situation. Mogget was bound in servitude to my family's house many years ago, and... he has a deep grudge. Sam and I -- that is, my nephew and I -- we set him free, but... he's before that time. He doesn't even know who I am. And here, now that he's no longer bound, his focus is, well... to kill me, only because I have Abhorsen blood.
And... as far as I can tell, he succeeded. I must've passed out from blood loss, at... at some point. But it's like Death doesn't even exist here. No Gates, no river. Just waking up the next morning, not even hurt or anything, like nothing ever happened.
It's unsettling. It's like it's not real at all...
I don't understand this place.
...I don't know how much of his full power he's recovered, but no matter what, he's extremely dangerous, and I've yet to regain anything I can use against him. If it would even work with the Charter gone. Please... be careful.
