brendon/spencer spy/fbi au??
i'm not sure how often anyone checks this comm anymore so idk if anyone will even see this but i am literally so desperate that i created a livejournal JUST so i could make this post here, so here goes:
i don't remember the author or the name, but i'm pretty sure i read it on lj? they're both undercover agents (or spies or something, i don't remember), spencer is, like, a gruff, seasoned james bond esque agent, and brendon is a hacker/tech genius. brendon talks a lot about his personal life, like he tells spencer about his dogs and stuff, and it makes spencer uncomfortable b/c i think he likes brendon but he doesn't want to admit it. they go undercover as high school teachers, and i think spencer feels really weird and awkward about it but brendon kind of loves it. while there brendon starts a gsa club, and one time spencer sits in at a gsa meeting or something and brendon is encouraging this girl to just go for it and ask her crush out, i think he says something like "sure, your crush might be straight, but even being rejected is better than just silently pining forever because you can't work up the courage to just go for it" and then i think he like looks at spencer all meaningfully.
anyway, this sort of freaks spencer out i think b/c he realizes he Likes brendon, and they have sex and then spencer's all like "shit" and distances himself from brendon b/c i think he's afraid of getting close b/c something bad happened to his old partner (ryan). spencer calls his mom and vents to her about it and asks for her advice and she calms him down and makes him promise to bring brendon home with him next time he visits. then brendon gets shot and in the ambulence or hospital he's unconscious and spencer's freaking out and he's like "you can't fucking die, i promised my mom i'd bring you next time i visit, i told her about your DOGS" and brendon wakes up, of course, and i think he's, like, grinning because he heard everything spencer said, and spencer's all blushy and denying everything, and then they make up, and i can't remember if anything happens after that.
it's been literally forever since i've read this so obviously it's missing some details, and i might be misremembering some of it, but for the most part i think this is pretty accurate
