Today was apparently the hottest in NY history: 109F/42C.
Melbourne has had hotter days, but I've not had sweat-soaked nights like this since I was a kid in pre-air-conditioning Queensland. The disconnect was a bit profound for a while. Now I think 20 years of this sort of thing is reasserting itself. Just glad there are fans.
I drank 3 litres of water before leaving the house, and in total, today, I think I've had 8 or 9. And I've sweated ALL OF IT OUT.
