Work, work
I noticed tonight as I left the house that Charlotte, who until last night was still attending to her tattered and wind-torn web, is gone. I never thought I'd be wistful at the absence of a spider.
On a positive note, the Orange Kitty who I have been wooing with saucers of fresh milk and kitty treats has let me pet him every time he's around now, as long as I have food to give him. It's a fair trade, and he's a very friendly fellow, if not a bit skittish if I move too quickly. I'm working on slow movements and speaking in low tones with him.
This week is going to be very busy and fast paced. If you are trying to reach me through normal channels, know that I might be unavailable for large periods of time. Going to be out of town for a few days next week, and I need to cram in all my hours at work in a shorter time period than normal.
