The Craziest Things
I just saw a wreck. One involving a motorcycle, no less, and well... we know how badly those can turn out, yeah? Which makes this all the more stunning.
I was pumping gas, and the guy had just left the QT. Both parties had green lights, and technically the car started turning left when no one was coming, because yeah, motorcycle was going fast. He hit the passenger side rear door of the car and just went flying. The motorcycle was in pieces in the intersection - it wouldn't be too much of an exaggeration to say it that was literally in half. The guy went somewhere between 50 and 100 feet, at least.
I was standing there thinking that I might have to stay and wait for the police, since I saw the whole thing, and two, that he was dead.
And then... he got up and walked. away. Oh, I'm sure he's shaken, and I'm sure he'll get checked out, but the thing is, he didn't even lose consciousness.
So that was my exciting Sunday afternoon.
