On a slightly less jubilant note, however, it does mean that Rachel Nichols is leaving. I seem to be one of the few in the fandom who really liked her - I thought Seaver was sweet (even if her backstory was a little bit contrived), and I adore Rachel Nichols. As much as CBS screwed over AJ and Paget, they haven't really been fair to Rachel either. I feel kind of sorry for her - some of the fandom were such assholes to/about her, and all because of something that was in no way her fault. Losing AJ and Paget sucked more than a fat kid with a milkshake, but Rachel did her best in a shitty situation. I really wish the show could have found a way to keep her too, even if not as a series regular.
And now we just have to wait for Thomas to sign his damn contract. Come on TG, season 6 was traumatic enough, don't do this to us!
