TV and TMI
Okay, so first? God bless the internet. Australia is so woefully behind in all my favourite tv shows, it's just epically awesome to be able to go online and watch things almost as soon as the USA sees them. I've been watching the new season of Scrubs, which I didn't know even existed until two days ago - I believed all those rumours about it ending after that truncated excuse for season 7, I didn't realise that season 8 was up and running. It's still hilarious, that temporary Chief of Medicine played by Courtney Cox was brilliant, and I love Denise.
Also, Lost - I've been woefully out of touch with the fandom for so long, I didn't realise it had already started again, and as a result, I went into the first two episodes totally unspoiled, which was actually kind of fun! I'm usually a complete spoiler whore, I know everything that's going to happen as soon as there's the merest hint of it anywhere on the internets, but I'm starting to seriously consider making this a permanent state of being, at least as far as Lost is concerned. Because OMG!!! Sayid! And Locke! And time travelling! So, so awesome. Brilliant return to form, can't wait to see more.
CSI - I'm in no major hurry to watch all of season 9 liekritenao, but it was good to be able to see "For Warrick", because it made me cry. I totally loved him. I'm almost an entire season behind on Nip/Tuck, which is unthinkable, and must be rectified immediately - although, I heard a rumour that Christian and Liz have sex? Please god no! Liz was always the one woman who was too smart to go there! I know Christian is insanely hot, but that's not the point.
Bones and Criminal Minds are still as fantastic as always, and I'm spoiled as hell for those :) Apparently theres supposed to be some CM episodes in which we see just how much Morgan and Garcia mean to each other, which I can't wait for - I don't want them to hook up, and I don't think they will, but I love thier friendship. And in Bones, the whole "asking Booth to father her child" is a total red herring IMO - she'll ask him, but only as a hypothetical, he'll get awkward and tell her to drop the subject, then by the end of the episode, he'll say he'd probably consider it because she'd make a good (albeit very strange) mother, and she'll say she never wants kids anyway, and the episode will fade out with them arguing *nods*. And the "in bed together naked" thing? I'm going with hypothermia - they'll snuggle, it'll be adorable, the squints and Sweets will tease them mercilessly, but although it will be filled with UST, there'll be no actual nookie, because putting those two together would ruin the future of the show.
And the L Word - OMG @ Shane and Jenny! At first I was all "Nikki deserves Jenny's wrath, but Jenny needs to STFU at Shane, because Shane's always been there for her, even when Jenny is being a right royal pain in the ass to everyone", but now? Idk, I think I'd prefer if they were still fighting. Alice is annoying me a little - partly because she's gotten too skinny and lost those luscious curves, partly because she's just a little bit yappy, and needs to give Tasha some fucking space. I was thrilled to see Papi again, but wtf was she doing with Gabi Deveaux? I know Papi isn't picky, but I thought she had a little more class than that. Tina has every right to be distrustful of Bette, given that Bette's now cheated on two major relationships, but really, she knows what she's getting into this time, so it's her own funeral. And Bette seriously can't just expect everyone to trust her 100% after the way she acted. She also can't expect Jodi to roll over and accept the hand she was dealt without a little retaliation - Jodi was tough, Bette knew it, and she crossed Jodi anyway. When Jodi told it like it was, I was like "well played". But now? Call it square ffs, and show some proffessionalism. Joyce and Phylis are kind of cute, but are also freaking me out a little - where the hell did that all come from? And poor Helena. She's come a long way since the season 2 bitch I hated so much, now I just want to hug her. Good on her for kicking Dylan's ass, I hope they don't hook up. And what did happen in Ta'ha? And with the kids? And Dusty and the money? Gah, questions. Kit's been pretty low key so far, so I hope she doesn't fade into the background. I really can't see Max making this baby thing work, but he needs to ease up on Tom, because Tom is sweet and I want to keep him :) I wonder what happened to Dawn Denbo, Cindy, Ivan, Angus, Hazel, Carmen, that carpenter chick, and all the other myriad of people who turned up for a few random episodes never to be heard from again? Hmmm. And Angelica is implausibly big. Why are they getting another kid? The kid storyline has been done to death. Move on, people.
Edit: And also with The L Word, I can't believe I forogt the biggest plotline of all - they're killing off Jenny! I mean, I know it's the last series, so the can do whatever the fuck they like, but I did NOT see that coming. Something else I can't see is the music - I've been searching all day for those awesome songs that are always playing when Papi is in the background, those latin beat kind of tracks, and while I can find titles, I can't seem to download from anywhere. I'd love to make a Papi music mix CD - does anyone have the inside knowledge as to where I could download?
And now to a TMI. The Boy texted earlier to say we should meet up tonight, I figured I could go for some *ahem* company, and so I agreed ;) but you know how when it comes time to maintain the bikini area, there's those few days when you really can't do anything about it? Like, I just shaved a few days ago, and now it's too short to wax, but just long enough that I need to shave again, but it'll hurt like a bitch. Those lame-ass creams don't work, I don't have the time or the money for any kind of laser treatment, and bleach just seemed an all round bad idea. So shave I did, and it was painful, and bled, and although smooth, I now have the same problem Elliot had in Scrubs when she had a fight with her waxer, ie, a "bajingo" that looks like it's covered in spider bites. So I thought, okay, I guess it's lights off tonight then - but then the worst part? The Boy texted an hour or so ago, pissed off as all hell at his boss who needed him to work late. So no "company", and a slightly inflamed looking bikini area. Not amused.
