I'm sitting at my desk, one of perhaps 5 people here today at the jfklf, listening to a Charo remix or something of the Love Boat theme. I'm back in a big music kick, trying to find new artists I want to buy. When I have a chance, I'm buying an Annie album. I also want to buy more clothes, but that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

There's a third dog in the Richardson household: my great-uncle's standard poodle. See, she had gotten loose and was hit by a car, and her leg got fractured. Last week, Harky (the great-uncle)put her in his friend's daughter's kennel while he went into the hospital to get his second hip replaced. I think on Sunday, Flicka (the dog) was bleeding a whole lot and was rushed to the doggy hospital and it turns out one of the rods or pins in her leg was going through or near an artery. So since she needs to be looked after more, we have taken her in until she's healed, I think. She hobbles around, and has to wear a bonnet/ cone so she won't aggrevate her leg and she tends to bump into doorways and people and tables. It's pretty pathetic, but she deals with it well. My dogs are a little unsure about her-- Tok at first was very upset and expressed that by peeing in the dining room (though luckily the rug was at the cleaner's when this happened), but I think he's little by little becoming accustomed to having another dog around. Belle avoids her completely and stole the toy my mom bought Flicka, showing who's boss. To make sure nothing crazy happens at night, I've been sleeping on the pull-out couch in the den and Flicka sleeps on the floor (our two sleep upstairs).

I want to pop some advil and take nap. I'm very tempted to turn the space heater on under my desk, except it's pretty loud. I've been really cold almost all the time, so I've self-diagnosed myself as having low iron in my blood. If that causes one to feel colder than normal. I'll go web-md it.
