I'm still debating the teaching english thing. I keep telling myself that I should suck up my fear of teaching (and failing to actually teach) and get my certificate. But I haven't made any plans yet.
But, in the meantime, I am working as a temp at the JFK Library Foundation. I do a lot of stuffing envelopes, battling with the postage meter (I usually win), battling with the over-stuffed filing cabinets (they usually win and my hands come away chapped and cut), eating lunch in a dark office, and overdressing. It's a good time, overall, though. This lasts until sept. or oct., after which... hopefully I'll be packing up and hopping on a plane for my next european adventure (see, there I go again, picturing myself going off to the 'mother/ fatherland' without having any clue as to why I will be going or what I'll be doing. but I want to go so badly!) I also dog-sat in Cambridge, during my first week at the JFKLF, which was fun (though humid and sweaty) and for the first time I cooked for myself. I bought a lot of things at Urban Outfitters while I was there. Their sale was much too tempting for me to not go and buy something each time I visited.
Apart from my fairly same-old. same-old life, my mom is going to San Diego tomorrow for a work-related thing, Danielle is going to Thailand on Monday for a refugee-helping related thing, Jo is driving out to LA in a week (joder...) to live... Tantos cambios. I'll miss Jo a lot; well, now going to New York will require more planning since I'll have to find a place to stay.
Also since I have last written, I have fallen in love with Arrested Development. I bought the 2nd season today.
