I've been tagged.
Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.
I tag my friendlist. I'm kinda feeling lazy right now, so, if you wanna do this, knock yourself out. :D
1. Even though I have a television in my room, I watch at most 1 hour a month of television on it. Usually I go to the living room and watch TV there.
2. The only channels I watch are The History Channel, VH1 Classic, and occasionally ABC (for "Scrubs" and "All My Children".)
3. My mother didn't have a name for me when I was born, so I was named after Emily Ann on "All My Children". She was Erica Kane's arch-nemesis in 1986.
4. I tend to listen to the same song over and over again on repeat for days on end. Currently, I am listening to Duran Duran's "Come Undone."
5. I have an immensely large stack of movies and books I've yet to watch/read.
6. Legally, I am half adopted.
7. I am the same height as my maternal grandmother and two maternal aunts. We all measure up at a whopping 5'0".
8. I have been an avid Selena fan since I was 8-years-old, which was one year before she was murdered.
9. I own all of Jennifer Lopez's albums, and I like them.
10. I took my mother's videocamera to school and recorded my friends and teachers on the last week of high school in my senior year.
11. It wasn't until a few years ago that I learned that a "bureau" and a "maleta" were a "dresser" and "suitcase" in English. I was so used to calling them by their Spanish names, I failed to register the English ones.
12. I am ridiculously terrible at remembering names.
13. I tend to confuse people when I mention my parents, due largely in part to the fact that I call my step-father my "Dad" and my dad my "father". It is quite simple, however. My dad is the one who raised me, my father lives in New York.
14. My aunt gave me the "It's A Girl!" card that was on my crib in the hospital for a recent birthday.
15. I have in a little box the only two pictures taken of my mother when she was pregnant with me. One is an actual picture, the other is her Texas ID card.
16. My first car, a Toyota Echo, was my graduation present which I totaled in a car accident. My car hydroplaned off the road, flipped and spun into a ditch off the exit ramp on the highway. My first thought was "My mother is going to kill me, I messed up the car."
17. I often give money to charity, even when I don't have that much of it for myself.
18. I still bite my nails when I'm feeling nervous or restless.
19. My favorite Disney movie when I was a kid was "Aladdin" because Jasmine was the only princess I could realistically dress up as because I had tanned skin and dark hair. And also, I hated "Pocahontas".
20. I have an extreme complex about my legs and rarely wear skirts, and never wear shorts.
21. For a while I would say "Penis" instead of cursing, because it seemed less offensive to me.
22. The longest relationship I have ever had was 3 days long. Seriously.
23. I suffer from phonophobia, which is a fear of telephones. If I can help it, I will not talk to someone on the telephone if I don't know them all that well. I even have a difficult time with certain family members.
24. My favorite color is purple, and my bedroom is proof of this.
25. I repeat myself when talking in a group, because I subconsciously think that I was not heard the first time.
