This just in from climb leader:

OK, it looks like we have a weather window Sunday. If it holds (I'll
recheck before we leave Saturday AM), we can expect temps in the low
20's, sustained winds 15-20, gusts to maybe 30, an occasional show
shower, and mostly cloudy. If we are lucky we might have some
visibility from the summit. If we are unlucky, I'll have to navigate us
back to the ski area in rope-length visiblity (I've done it before.)

A front is moving through around noon Saturday - so the worst conditions
we will see will be during our snow practice, improving over saturday
night. Climbing OUT of the weather is always a good thing!

So I'm adjusting the schedule:

12:00: Leave Portland, dressed for snow practice minus outer layers.
2PM - 6:30PM: snow practice
7:30PM: dinner in the lodge
4AM: wakeup
5-6AM - start climbing
noon-1PM: summit
3-4PM: back at cars
5-7PM - back in town.

No snowshoes needed - we can expect maybe 6 inches of now snow on a
well-consolidated layer (it was quite icy when I skiied in mostly sunny
conditions Thursday). Avalanche hazard is low - worst-case scenario is
a small wet-snow slide if the sun comes out on Sunday.

It may not be summer climbing, but it will be safe, and should be a
great experience - see you all Saturday!
