Literally...

I'm moving.  After house-sitting for D for two weeks, alone, I determined that I need to have my own place.  Now.  I realized this w/i 48 hours of staying at his place.  (Much gratitude to him and the Yo, since the only real reason for being there was the fish, which could have easily come over to my house.  He knew what I needed.  What a sweetheart.)

So Ace and I are going to shack up.  He's already taken to calling me his man-wife.  Wait, it's vice versa.  Whatever.   We've been discussing getting a place together for a couple months.  We literally met last Sat for coffee, and literally talked about various aspects of rooming together and literally discussed going to a place in Wallingford in a few weeks that has space available, then I literally saw this ad on Craig's for a place that was literally better than we really expected to find as far as space, price and location are concerned and literally signed the lease on Wed and it literally starts TODAY.  Literally.

We're having an 'Empty House Party' tonight.  You should come.  We were planning on moving after the 1st, but the landlord was adamant about having the lease start ASAP, so we compromised.  It was a hasty decision, but seems completely worth it so far.

It's 'south Capital Hill' which is a generous description of the transitional neighborhood that is the Central District.  I love it.  Close to good restaurants and a (longggg) walk from C Hill stuff.  I'll probably buy a bicycle.

I've got a 'date' tomorrow night.  Like, actual factual.  It's been called that and everything.  Weird.

My boss bought me a whoopee cushion, and one of my co-workers was like 'it's nice when someone finds a gift that really fits them.'  Lord.  My diaphragm is sore from laughing so hard and often for the last three days.  It's even endeared me to my not-so-ideal office co-occupant a (very) little.  A few of us went out last night and I brought it with to the classy drinking establishments we went, those who weren't in on it were horrified.  Then laughed w/o end.  Oh the powers of the base humor.

I've been getting acupuncture for the last 3 weeks.  I'm a quick and easy convert.  So relaxing and... something else that's big.  My 'puncturist, Dr. Song, asked me Wed how my energy has been and I was like 'OMG, it's been so high and good!'  Hadn't really realized it yet.  I leave there feeling so 'on' - relaxed but not lethargic.  I nap while the pins are in, lights dimmed w/ soft Chinese music.  I feel like I come about 2 tics from blacking out - the oddest, deepest relaxation I've ever experienced.

Been taking tons of pics.  I love having a camera, but I hope I don't get lazy and never take my manual camera out.  Please, like it's been out of its case in the last two years.  Ridiculous.
