Maryland Science Center, Baltimore [Friday evening]
Celia had been tasked with finding somewhere in Baltimore that would provide further insight to the wonders and culture of the twenty-first century, and it had taken her a little while to choose where she wanted to start. (The fact that using the internet, let alone Google, was still largely a mystery to her had certainly not helped.) There were a number of museums, but it was the Maryland Science Center that stood out to her as offering the most fun options, and as soon as Celia had seen that they had an observatory, she was sold.
A slightly-terrifying cab ride and a tour through the more hands-on exhibits in the science center itself later, and it was finally dark enough to head up to the roof. Celia was trying to contain her excitement at getting to use an actual telescope, but she wasn't doing a very good job. She'd also, true to her word, dressed in a more more modern style, courtesy of Eleanor, and left her hair down for once. (Truth be told, she'd wanted to blend in, yes, but part of her had also wanted to look pretty for the occasion. She was allowed to be vain when she was being accompanied by a gentleman she admired, wasn't she? As far as she could tell, that was sort of the point.)
"Are you thoroughly dazed by everything?" she asked Ichabod as they walked out to the observatory on the roof. "Or is this still fun for you?"
It was still fun for her. She was having a hard time not staring at things and grinning like an idiot, honestly.
