Ugh

It appears that our downstairs neighbor, not-so-affectionately known as "Asshole in #6, will be home for the weekend.  Meaning that more than likely, he will go out tonight and get hammered.  There's also the possibility that he once he comes home, he'll keep the party going and rock his apartment, which wouldn't be such a bad thing.  Unfortunately, when he decides to rock his apartment he tends to rock ours just as hard.  Nothing like being in a deep, comfy sleep just to be jarred awake to some lame-ass country music (sorry for any of you country music lovers out there).  He and my mother were pretty much having a pissing match every fucking night because he and his pals would come in and have the music up so loud that if someone walked by, they would've thought the party was in our apartment.  Mom would complain, he would bitch crying that it wasn't fair that he couldn't have his friends over, and my nerves were becoming more and more frayed.

This back and forth bitching and shit went on for the longest until things came to a head in November of last year, when mom decided to give him a dose of his own medicine by returning the favor to him at 9am.  Needless to say, he plenty p.o'ed and decided that he was going to out jam her.  He even went as far as getting more of his friends to come over and yell, scream, and sing at the top of their lungs.  What he didn't count on was her opening up the sound system on her computer, full throttle.  Plus, between the both of us, we have well over 5000 songs; that's not even counting the songs I haven't uploaded onto iTunes.  He might be a young thing in his mid-twenties but he got punk'd by a fifty-two year old woman.  You don't fuck with old school.

I have to admit that since then, things have been much calmer.  He was gone most of the summer working in GA and even when he came home, he was still considerate.  Still, I don't trust him because he's pulled this stunt before where he'll behave for like a month or so, then go back to regularly scheduled assholish behavior.  I think it helped when the main catalyst moved the fuck out (that would be the landlord's son and don't EVEN get me started on the rude, drunken s.o.b.) back in February.  And while he and his skank of a girlfriend moved back from CA, they're stuck living at home with his folks and daddy has been putting his worthless ass to work, doing maintenance on their various properties.

Now Asshole in #6 told mom he was graduating this December. May he keep his head in the books, get his sheepskin, and make like every other college student that has lived in this building.......MOVE.
Also, I would like to state that while I certainly do a fair amount of bitching, I am a happy person.  It's just that I have to get all this shit out or I'll go even battier than I am now and a batshit Echo is NEVER a good thing.  So, to end this on a good note, my friend Lo and I went out to Denny's to celebrate our girl, K's birthday.  We had such a good time and my face and sides are still sore from laughing so hard.  It's always good to know that no matter how bad life gets, a day with your friends can make the difficult things in life just a bit easier.  :-)
