Finish Line

Well it wasn't easy. It wasn't that hard though either. Probably the hardest thing was cleaning out my desk. Never, I repeat, never, stick around a company for 7 1/2 years because shit adds up. It was like moving apartments except now everything that was here is now at my old, considerably too small now, apartment in the middle of the living room where my cat can have at it.

So going away party was at Crocodile Lounge, very fun! Skee ball, arcade games, free pizza with every beer. Couldn't have asked for a better send off from half of the company. That made me feel good. If nothing else, I did know a lot of terrific people here. My last days were spent on a final proposal, doing some last minute writing, and closing everything out. And shredding. I was a shredding machine.

So it's over. The only real job I've known my entire NYC life. Over. It wasn't easy, like I said at the top. And walking out the last time was a little sad.

But on the other hand like all relationships when you finally get the relief of breaking up you still spend time romanticizing it, forgetting all the pain and agony.

On to the next thing! I'm really excited to get to work. It will be a huge change, a huge challenge but I just can't wait!

And as I said, I'll be starting a new blog. Actually I've already started a new blog! If you want in on it, shoot me an email. But this one, she's going down in 30 days. I just really need a fresh break from everything.

Ciao!
