God's Promises For Your Purpose - Part 2

(continued)

Remember: When you're doing God's purpose for your life, you can count on God to help.  He promises:

·          PERSONAL INTIMACY WITH GOD

God wants to be close to us more than we'll ever want to be close to Him.  He longs to be longed for.  And for those who are seeking Him and striving to serve His purpose for their lives, He provides the promise of His Presence.  "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart" - Jeremiah 29:13.

Looking at His example, Jesus just wanted to know His Father and be about His business.  Fulfilling his mission, Paul considered everything trash except for knowing Jesus.  Shouldn't that be our goal?

When have sought God and His purpose, worship comes easy.  Time in His Word becomes a priority.  Holiness becomes your standard.  Prayer is effortless.  The littlest sin becomes repulsive to you.  Hearing His voice, His nudges, His leading is unmistakable.  The flow of His supernatural power is the norm.  Normal?  The average Christian is below normal!

Watchman Nee said, “By the time the average Christian gets his [spiritual] temperature up to normal, everybody thinks he has a fever!”

·          PROTECTION

Psalm 91:9-10 - “If you make the Most High your dwelling - even the Lord, who is my refuge - then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near you tent.”

This is not to say that life will be free of suffering or hardship.   We talked about "Pressure" before.  The good thing is: “The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you.”

So long as God’s purpose for you is incomplete, nothing can destroy you (unless you destroy yourself).  You'll only die the moment God's finished with His purpose for you.  Until then, "BE STRONG AND VERY COURAGEOUS!"

God wasn’t finished with Paul.  So, he got let down out of the city in a basket to escape.  How many times he and others were spared from death?

Think of Jesus.  One time, people got furious at Him and tried to throw Him off a cliff.  “But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way” - Luke 4:30.

In His purpose, we have His SUPERNATURAL PROTECTION.

Think about how many times your own life was spared!  If you’re still alive, He’s still got a plan!
