53 ACME Novelty Library #17 by Chris Ware

Brilliant and depressing as ever. Ware is a consumate designer and writer, etc., etc. It's all been said. Listen, if you like mid-century modern design, enjoy characters that you both pity and hate, and have an extra $17 plus tax in your pocket, you need this book.

54 The Complete Peanuts: 1963-1964 by Charles Schultz

I don't know how much thought you've given to the difficulty rating of reading one of these hardcovers straight through. If you're wondering, it's pretty high. I mean, Schultz is amazing and all, but there's two years worth of daily strips in here--that's a lot of sarcasm and dark humor. Nevertheless, if you've gone on holiday with your in-laws and brought as entertainment only a book on the theology of grace, you'll read anything for extended periods of time. And if it's this, you'll love it.

55 Pride and Promiscuity: the Lost Sex Scenes of Jane Austen by Eckstut and Ashton

The title says it all. Somewhat titillating, charmingly old fashioned, mostly just silly.

56 Generous Orthodoxy by Brian McLaren

Really good stuff. Finished it about half-an-hour ago. More later.
