Recent Events
Have returned from the penultimate youth event of the summer--Outdoor Adventure Camp at Procter. Slept on the ground in tents, made our own food over the campfire, dealt with 30 crazed teenagers for four days, was soaking wet for approximately 8 hours during torrential rainstorms. Fantastic!
Went to the Harry Potter release party at Joseph-Beth. Never been to one but it was lovely. Jumped up and down like a schoolgirl when I got my copy. Like a girly, silly schoolgirl. Have finished it and feel good about it.
Returned to work and to my MESSY office. It's wicked messy, if you want to know the truth. Not sure I can find what I want anymore. Will have to attack it sometime this week.
Leaving for final youth trip on Sunday--a fabulous mission trip to...

Cincinnati.
That's right, we're doing mission in our own backyard. And I say, why not? You don't have to go to an exotic, tourist destination to find poor, suffering people. More to the point, it's not about us "working among" folk but about developing relationship and opening our eyes to the world around us. Very excited about the 7 junior highers we're taking.
Oh, and celebrated CN and ML's wedding this week-end--not stressful, good food, college friends from the Dark Ages.
