I just strolled in from my 2nd roller derby practice this week. Yesterday a public television station in Pittsburgh filmed/interviewed all of us gals. Interesting to say the least. I got my job back at the liquor store.
This past Friday I saw a band called Dooms Day 1999. The highlight of the show was when plastic shrapnel flew into our faces. This happened when the singer struck easter eggs off the guitar amp with a miniature golf club he stole the night before the show. I then realized after their set, the eggs were filled with vegan jelly beans and chocolate. How thoughtful! An all around entertaining night followed by a gruelling drive to my parents home.
Saturday I finished up some tax preparations for my dad's business in Shrewsbury and hauled my ass up to York. There ashley and I smiled, smoked a cig, and dashed off to Philly. Upon our arrival, we made a few wrong turns and couldn't find Megan. Eventually we found Sean & Drew's and had a splendid time. Megan biked over. John Bean made us a slue of vodka and cranberries. Fight Amputation and Gunna Vahm ruled. We seriously did not want to leave. Highlight this night was at 2:40am drunk and laughing hysterically while chomping down on a cheese sub inside WaWa. J. Bean stole 4 hotdogs. It was amazing. Leaving out alot of funny things, because I'm too lazy to type them.
Sunday we drove back to York and had Easter dinner courtesy of Anita and Kate Clagg! This involved Ashly and I eating all but the jiggly, disgusting lamb, homemade oatmeal raisin cookies, and a formidable women's rights discussion. Highlight of this day, sitting around being lazy at the 815(????) house, with splashes of Keight and Assly through out the day. Followed by an exhausting drive BACK to Pittsburgh.
