Alex didn't know why he'd left his alcove and come outside where it was hot but he had. At least the sun was starting to set so the temperature was going down some.
Still, it wasn't dark enough that he couldn't spot someone familiar on one of the cabin roofs and he couldn't help but stopping.
"Cabin that shitty?" he called up to her, arms crossed.
Effy shrugged, assuming if he could see her from down there, he could see that. "Wasn't feeling the kum-ba-ya first night bonding thing." Really, really wasn't.

"Why so confident about that?" Especially since he'd been bitchy lately.
"All these 'could's and 'maybe's," Effy noted. "Little bit suspicious." They fell back on them a lot when they were doing their vague and non-committy bit.

"That mean I'm better than you?"

"You write them dirty a dirty limerick too?" It would've drawn her to visit him, if she'd actually remembered which cabin he was in.

Unlikely.
"Maybe I just sent a lot of dirty texts," he added. "You could be one of many."

"You remember me." And he didn't remember the poetry, therefore...

"Easy way up 'round the back." Or relatively so. It had been worth the effort. She liked heights, okay?
