Heh, this mission stuff is easy. Didn't even see no monsters.

I was thinkin', what peeps do to pass time when you ain't trainin' or doin' missions? We should throw a party or somethin', yo. It's too quiet.

I wondered how long it would take for someone to crack.

I was referring to the fact that there is someone here who is already desperate to throw a party. There’s always one, it’s very predictable.

Yeah, whatever.

So, who're you again?

Vergil. I’m new. I came here when you were all out on a mission so I haven’t been introduced to anyone, you all seemed distracted. It was peaceful until you all showed up.

Don't hafta be so grumpy, man.

Grumpy? I’m honest. If you can’t handle something that hasn’t been sugar-coated for you then that really isn’t my problem.

What sugar?

Sugar-coated; as in sweetened for you in order to conceal the severity of the issue.

Whoa, yo, when did I mention food?

...I’ll make this simple. Humans ‘sugar-coat’ things for other humans to lessen the harsh reality of the situation. If someone died you would say that they’re dead. If you were going to sugar-coat it for someone then you would say that they have simply gone away or gone up to heaven, so they’ll still be watching over you. It’s something mainly used with kids.

Do you understand?

Uhh, sure. Sugar an' dead people, got it.
